Bones, Joints & Muscles
Our bones, joints and muscles work together and support each other to enable us to walk, run, enjoy our favourite hobbies and sports, and perform other physical movements. The whole structure normally works very well, but the joints can become painful with different forms of arthritis or rheumatism, such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or gout, and certain areas are especially prone to troubles such as back pain and foot and leg aches. The structure of the bone itself can become weakened in osteoporosis, which can cause the bones to break easily.
