Clinically validated. The Omron M2 Basic Blood Pressure Monitor has been clinically validated by international protocol.
Single button automatic operation. Just press the button and the unit switches on and inflates the cuff automatically to a level a bit above your higher blood pressure. It then stops inflating and gently deflates, measuring your blood pressure as it does so. It then fully deflates automatically and displays your upper (Systolic) and lower (Diastolic) blood pressure measurements and pulse (Heart rate).
Intellisense. The M2 Basic uses Omron's Intellisense technology to ensure the cuff is smoothly inflated to the right level.
Warning heart symbol. If the heart symbol flashes, then your reading is outside the ideal range of blood pressure. This happens if your lower reading (Diastolic) is above 85mm, or your higher reading (Systolic) is above 135mm.
Omron medium cuff is supplied and it is important to measure closely around the centre of the the upper arm in the thickest part that the cuff will cover, to see that the right size cuff is used, otherwise the blood pressure readings will not be accurate.The medium cuff is suitable for arms 22 - 32cm. Omron Replacement Cuffs are available as an extra if your arm is outside this size.
Memory. The Omron M2 Basic Blood Pressure Monitor only stores the last reading in memory.
