Assembly
Remove the face-piece from the vessel and connect it to the unit by firmly placing it over the tube projecting from the lid, so that it faces away from the small hole.
Instructions for use by adults
Place a few drops of inhalant (following recommended dose on label) into the vessel followed by very hot (not boiling) water, up to two-thirds full. Carefully place the lid and face-piece on the vessel, making sure that it fits snugly. Hold both handles firmly and place the face-piece over the nose and mouth and inhale (breathe in) slowly.
This may be repeated up to five times, but then it is important to remove unit from the face and breathe normally for a minute or two before repeating process. Be careful not to tilt or drop the container during use.
Instructions for use by children over five in the treatment of croup
Use as stated above, but with half the recommended number of drops of inhalant, and with slightly cooler water.
Children should be closely supervised at all time by a responsible adult and, if under twelve years of age, should be seated at a table, supported by an adult who is also holding the inhaler.
