New Coding Chip

The black coding chip is being introduced to replace the white coding strip. The black coding strip provided a one-time permanent coding, rather than each batch having a different code, set by the white coding strip. Once the black chip is used it can be left in the Accu-Check Aviva Blood Glucose Meter and andy future coding strips discarded. However the new black chip does not detect the expiry date of the strips in use and so you will need to check this yourself. The black chips are being phased in from January 2012.
