Paracetamol 500mg (32 Capsules) [P]
Paracetamol is an analgesic and an antipyretic, which means it relieves pain and lowers temperature .
Paracetamol is used for the relief of headache and migraine , rheumatic aches and pains, neuralgia toothache, sore throat , period pains and symptoms of feverish colds and flu .
Substitution: We try to use the same manufacturer for each generic product, but we will substitute equivalent products from another manufacturer if there is a supply problem.Paracetamol 500mg Directions:
- Swallow the capsules whole with a drink of water.
- Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years : 1 or 2 capsules to be taken three or four times a day if required.
- The dose should not be repeated more frequently than every 4 hours and no more than 8 capsules should be taken in any 24 hour period.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- If symptoms persist consult your doctor.
- Not recommended for children blow 12 years of age
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember, however, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and then take your next dose when it is due. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

The capsule also contains Pregelatinised maize starch, Sodium laurilsufate magnesium , stearate, Titanium dioxide (E171), Erythrosine (El 27), Quinolin yellow (E104), Patent blue (E131), Methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Gelatin
Before taking your Paracetamol 500mg
- You should not take these capsules if you are allergic to paracetamol or to any of the other ingredients.
- The preservatives E216 and E218 in the capsule shell may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
- Do not take with any other paracetamol-containing products.
- You suffer from severe liver or severe kidney problems.
- You suffer from alcohol dependence.
- You are taking any other medicines especially any of the following warfarin or other anti-coagulants used to thin the blood, the drug: colestyramine, metoclopramide or domperidone.
- If you are pregnant or are breast-feeding, check with your doctor before taking this medicine.
If you take too much:
Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage. If you or someone else have taken an overdose tell your doctor or go to the nearest hospital casualty department immediately.
Possible side effects:
Like all medicines Paracetamol may sometimes cause side effects, and
those which may occur occasionally are allergic skin rashes-and changes
in blood, which may lead to bruising. If you do notice any side
effects, including any not mentioned , please inform your doctor or
pharmacist.
